Who writes our content
MyNextOffer is a college recruiting software company. Our guides are written by the MyNextOffer editorial team. We do not claim coaching, compliance or admissions credentials we do not have, and we do not publish quotes, testimonials or athlete stories we cannot stand behind.
How we research recruiting rules
Rules, dates and numbers come from primary sources, in this order:
- The governing associations — the NCAA, its Eligibility Center and legislative database, the NAIA and the NJCAA.
- Official college athletics departments and conferences.
- Official publications such as the NCAA’s Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete.
Every guide lists its sources at the end. Statements that are our advice — what to put in an email, how often to follow up — are written as advice, not presented as rules or statistics.
Dates on every guide
- Published — when the guide first went live.
- Updated — the last time its content changed.
- Facts checked — the last time every rule, date and number on the page was re-checked against its sources.
Guides that quote association rules are re-checked at least every 6 months, and others at least once a year. We only change a date when the work behind it was actually done — never to make a page look fresher.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help draft content. In our recruiting guides, every rule, date and number is checked against the primary sources listed on the page before it is published.
Articles on our blog are generated with AI and can be published automatically. News articles credit the reports they are based on. For rules and eligibility questions, treat the linked recruiting guide as our checked reference, and confirm anything important with the school or association.
Independence
MyNextOffer is not affiliated with the NCAA, the NAIA, the NJCAA or any college. Our comparisons with other recruiting services quote each competitor’s own published information, with the date we checked it and a link to the source.
Corrections
If you find an error, email support@mynextoffer.io with the page and what is wrong. We check it against the source, fix the page, and update its dates.
