COOKIE POLICY

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — and help us understand how the site is being used.
We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage for certain application functions. This policy covers all such technologies collectively referred to as "cookies."
2. Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies Required
These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. You cannot opt out of these without losing core functionality such as staying logged in.

Site Cookies Optional
These are our own cookies. They are set only after you accept cookies, are never sent to a third party, and hold no name or email address. Declining later deletes them.

Your cookie-banner choice is also kept in your browser’s local storage, along with a few interface preferences, such as a dismissed checklist. While you sign up, it also keeps the plan, page or sport you picked and any answers from a sport guide’s recruitability form, so setup can pick up where you left off. Those are removed when setup finishes and expire after 7 days (14 for the form answers). Local storage is not sent to our servers.
Analytics Cookies Optional
We use PostHog to understand how users interact with the platform — which features are used, where users drop off, and how to improve the product. PostHog records which buttons and links are clicked but not the text on them, and does not record your screen, and it is set to discard your IP address. We also use Google Analytics 4 to measure where visitors come from and which pages lead to signups. It loads only after you accept analytics cookies, with Google signals and ad personalization turned off.

Error Reporting Optional
We use Sentry to capture application errors and performance issues so we can fix bugs quickly. Sentry does not set cookies, but an error report includes your IP address, browser, and the page you were on, so browser error reporting starts only after you accept cookies. If you decline, errors in your browser are not sent to Sentry. Errors on our servers are always reported.
Email Tracking
When you send recruiting emails to coaches through MyNextOffer, we embed an invisible tracking pixel and link redirect in those emails to detect opens and clicks. This tracking applies only to emails you send — not to emails we send you. It is on by default; to send a particular email without it, turn on Personal mode when you compose that email. See the Privacy Policy, Section 5.
3. Third-Party Cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media widgets, or ad trackers on MyNextOffer. The only third-party scripts that may set cookies are PostHog, Google Analytics and Sentry, all described above, and the YouTube or Hudl player on a page that shows a video. None of them load until you click Accept on our cookie banner — before that, a video shows a link to watch it on YouTube or Hudl instead. We do not sell, rent, or share cookie data with advertisers.
4. How to Control Cookies
Browser Settings
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using the platform. Common browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Opt Out of Analytics
Choosing “Decline optional” on the cookie banner keeps PostHog, Google Analytics, Sentry and video players from loading. To change your choice later, open (also in the footer of our pages). Declining after accepting stops them in that browser and removes the Google Analytics ID stored with your account. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or contact us at privacy@mynextoffer.io.
5. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a choice to decline optional cookies: the cookie banner is not shown, analytics, error reporting and video players do not load, our referral and attribution cookies are not set, and a choice to accept that you made earlier in that browser is withdrawn. We apply this to the browser sending the signal and, while you are signed in from it, to your account’s server-side analytics. If you want to allow optional cookies anyway, you can accept them from “Cookie settings”; that choice is yours to change again at any time.
Some browsers also send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent standard for responding to DNT, we do not change our behavior based on DNT alone. Optional cookies still load only after you accept them.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
